I installed Grisbi from the MX package installer. Started the program and
imported my QIF file, all went great. Looked the program over as I have it
installed on my win7 also. Saved my file, went through my preferences to set
backups. Closed the program and then tried to restart the program. It will only
flash the main window and not start. Uninstalled and reinstalled the program
same thing. Clicking on the file gives same results.

Version 1.0.1 is old.
Can you try with version 1.0.4 (the latest 1.0 version)?

You can try to delete the file ~.config / grisbi.conf and restart grisbi in a
terminal and post the screenshot here
Essayez de supprimer le fichier ~.config / grisbi.conf. lancez grisbi dans un
terminal et joignez ici la copie d'écran du terminal
