Could meanwhile compile the sources and found out that a lock file is created,
but in /tmp (or wherever temp is), and not in the directory where the file is.

Thus, starting a second instance from Windows over a SMB file share will not see the lock.

Is this a bug for the bug database, or a feature request to put the lock into the same directory as the file?
