Summary: open to last open file and number of recent files
will not save in preferences.
Description:
open to last open file and number of recent files will not save in preferences.
currently set to open last file and
zero recent files, and will not save any changes.
The open last file does not work.
NOTE:
My files are not saved in the default folder. However, they are in the same
place as previous versions and all worked well.
Steps to Reproduce:
close program and reopen. goes to new, open, import page. from there open will
work.

I updated to the latest version and still having same issue. Not opening the
last file and not able to save the options in preferences.

C'est normal, Il faut que tu mettes un chifre dans cette case. Par défaut c'est
3.

I have tried to enter three in most recent files but it will not save. I have
also unchecked and rechecked the "open last file" but it also will not save. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still no success.

I was able to edit the grisbi.conf as per your example. My file was missing the
complete line of
names-last-files=C:\\Users\\Brian
diCenzo\\Documents\\grisbi\\diCenzo\\diCenzo.gsb;C:\\Users\\Brian
diCenzo\\Documents\\grisbi\\George\\George.gsb;C:\\Users\\Brian
diCenzo\\Documents\\grisbi\\Nona\\Nona.gsb;
I also edit the line below to 3
nb-max-derniers-fichiers-ouverts=3
It corrected the issue to 95%. Every thing works when I open and close any file
the most recent file opens and the recent list reflects accordingly. However,
when you go into preference and close the program it removes the entries from
the line "names-last files". The line does remain now though as compared to
before where it was completely missing. It also resets the
nb-max-derniers-fichiers-ouverts=3 to 0
For now I have made all the edits in the preference as needed and will simply
not make any preferences changes allowing me to use the program with no issues.
Of course, if I have to make changes in the preferences I now know how to
manually re-enter the information.

It's strange. I just did the test under W10 and W8 and I have a correct result.
The configuration file updates well and keeps its data.
