Summary: Mac OS X: cannot open files if the path contains
special characters (like é, perhaps &, ...)
Description:
With Grisbi.app-0.5.9-X11-PPC-OSX-10.4.dmg on a Mac OS X 10.5 PPC, I cannot
open files if any of the directories where the file is in have a name
containing special characters like é and &.

The error message says:

/Users/<username>/Documents/.../Adm A & B/Comptabilité/Comptabilité
2008/Compta 2008.gsb doesn't seem to be a regular file,
please check and try again.

On the console, I get:

(grisbi:3690): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to set text due to error parsing
markup: Error on line 1: Character ' ' is not valid at the start of an
entity name; the & character begins an entity; if the ampersand isn't
supposed to be an entity, escape it as &

If I use pathnames like:
(1) /Users/<username>/Desktop/test with spaces
(2) /Users/<username>/Desktop/test with &
(3) /Users/<username>/Desktop/test with & and more
(4) /Users/<username>/Desktop/test with & and é
(5) /Users/<username>/Desktop/test with é

Only the pathnames (4) and (5) cause the error, only the pathname (4)
trigger the above error message on the console.

This does not happens on GNU/Linux

There is esactly the same problem when exporting an HTML report. And I
guess the same for every action that involves opening or saving files.

This is a 0.5.9 bug, therefore, we won't fix it.
We are fully dedicating our efforts to the 0.6 version. The latest version
is the Release Candidate 2 available at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/grisbi/files/ [^]

Please consider migrating to the 0.6 version, and be sure to keep a copy
of your 0.5.9 accounts file as the 0.6 version is not in its final state.
