Summary: Dealing with currencies transfers is tricky
Description:
With Grisbi 0.6.0rc1 and Ubuntu Karmic dealing with currencies transfers
can be tricky.
When I try to make a transfer from an account to another with a different
currency, no box pops up to ask if the rate/amount are correct. To specify
a new rate/amount, I have to:
1- Choose a different currency from the small drop down currency's menu in
the transaction form which activates a new box ("change")
2- Click again on the small box "Change" to let the "Exchange rate" box
appear and be able to modify any amount.
Moreover, to have the currency's menu appear on the transaction form, one
has to activate it on the Edit/Preferences. Failing to do so, no "Exchange
rate" box can be activated at all on the transaction form.
This can be confusing, the "Exchange rate" box should automatically appear
whenever a transfer between different currencies is requested.

I agree with all that was said in the ticket description, especially the
last bit. Even if you don't have the currency boxes enabled in the form,
you should be prompted for the correct exchange rate.
In most cases, the exchange rate between 2 currencies is variable.
Therefore, it would be better if:
- the exchange rate dialog appeared every time a new transaction is input
- or there was a checkbox in the preferences that allows the user to have
this behaviour.
Besides, I fully agree with the last sentence of the description.
Implementing this in RC2 won't be possible, but we should start thinking
about it.
