I use Linux systim and Grisbi 5.9.  Grisbi 6.0 beta changes all my data to
incorrect numbers.

If you can compile a program you can try to do what is marked below

In a console, enter each command followed by enter
export CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous at cvs.grisbi.org:/cvsroot/grisbi

cvs -z9 co grisbi

cd grisbi
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
make install
