Bonsoir,
Ce message est certes très désagréable mais n'est pas bloquant, il suffit
de cliquer sur OK pour arriver dans la fenêtre principale de Grisbi
(attention elle n'est pas forcément au premier plan) et faire
Fichier>Nouveau ou Fichier>Ouvrir.
Ce message apparaît lors de la premiere ouverture de Grisbi.

I can barely understand enough French to get that this is the same issue I
have experienced. When one closes the active file such that no working
file is open in Grisbi, and then one closes the application, the next time
the program is opened this error appears. (In my case: "D:\Finance\Grisbi
doesn't seem to be a regular file, please check it and try again".)
By the way, the English message is not grammatically correct. It is a
run-on sentence, also known as a comma-splice. You have two independent
clauses separated by a comma only, and no conjunction; and that is a
grammar faux pas in English. Please make the message into two sentences,
or put a semicolon where the comma is.
Of course, the message itself is programmatically wrong as well, since the
problem merely is that no active file is open, not that there is an error
condition for the user to check.

Hi,
As it's explained in French, this message occurs due to a **bug** making
it to appear when the 'last file open' is missing. The message itself is
programmatically correct when it occurs in the normal case.
We are are very sorry, but English is not our native language. Do not
hesitate to participate to enhance the English version of Grisbi.
